CONGRATULATIONS MAXINE CRUZ-AM, MS. PHILIPPINES 2012

We are so so so so so so so so so proud of you girl. You rocked out every single time you were on the stage and deserved the win. Your talent and humility are a deadly combination.

I want to take this opportunity to point out something to all you amazing fupac members.

Yesterday’s win is absolutely nothing compared to what it really is we have as this amazing family. We won not only because our rep was the best, but also because all of you were backing her every step of the way, taking time out to help her. You should all be proud of yourselves as well.

If you look at the fupac facebook page, you will see quite a few posts that speak to the special quality that we have together. Maxine posted a comment from Ms. Congeniality 2012 (check it out) which shows that we give good impressions to those outside of the club, and that FUPAC shines in more subtle ways that do not come with a crown. Other members also posted thanking us for the warm welcome they received when they came to support Max.

I constantly marvel at how lucky I am personally to have found FUPAC and the people in it. 

I hope we can always be humbled by the kind words we get from others and seek to share our spirit with everyone else. FUPAC is only as wonderful as the people in it, and you guys are truly wonderful indeed. 

In Fordham fashion, we really do “go forth and set the world on fire.” I would not change this for the world. Please excuse my corniness!

Again, congratulations times a billion zillion to our girl Maxine, who made it so easy and fun to support her as she brought home the crown. We love you so much!
